About Hands-On Woodworking

Hands-On began in 1988, like many small businesses, in a garage.  As the volume of business grew, the founder and current owner Mark Aspland leased space in Cornelius, bought equipment and started full-time.  The concept from the beginning was to create cabinetry and storage systems that would not only be attractive but also serve the client’s storage needs.   Our current 24,000 square foot plant in Cornelius, NC, employs state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment operated by local craftsmen with an average tenure at Hands-On Woodworking of over ten years.  The goal has been to build a network of satisfied customers that recommend us to friends as well as return as customers.  Approaching our 25th year of business, close to 90% of our orders are return customers or referrals of a happy customer.  Look at some of our testimonials.
