Hiking Bench Instructions

1-    Check Parts (see attached parts list) – if anything is missing – tough (just kidding) Contact us and we will send you another part. If you break a part or do something stupid and need additional parts, we will probably give you a replacement part free if you admit you’re a klutz.

2-    Things you will need that are not supplied:

  • 2 – 3/8” Eye hooks
  • 1 – Standard cheap Laser hiking strap (do Lasers have anything that is cheap?)
  • 2 – hardware store “blocks” that will accommodate your mainsheet (8mm)
  • 12 – 15’ of old cheap worn out main sheet
  • 6 -8’ of heavy duty shock cord
  • 2 eye straps (go to the hardware store – marine grade is not needed)
  • 3’ -¼”. line for attaching cheap hardware blocks
  • 8dd finish nails, wood glue and 120 grit sandpaper

Assembly

1.    Sand all parts before you put them together, we could have done this for you but it would have doubled the price of the bench. Besides, you need to give this thing your own personal touch.
2.    Assemble sides with cross members and front support – use glue and supplied self tapping screws.  It is not necessary to pre-drill screws, if you put the right amount of pressure on the screw, it will countersink nicely.
3.    Attach seat – make sure you line it up correctly
4.    Attach hardwood nailers – glue and nail into place.  You might want to do a little more sanding unless you want a splinter in your ass.
5.    Attach strap reinforcer – LINE UP THE HOLES – SEE PICS BELOW
6.    Run main sheet and customize as desired.  You are now ready to mount and enjoy.
